The Music School of the Conservatorio Nacional de Lisboa, Portugal, works with Galo SchoolAtlas® since the beginning of 2002. In a client/server network, this system structured for the specific needs of a music school integrates data about students and their biographic data, teachers, subjects and registrations, grades, absents, exams, timetables and classrooms, mailings, etc. All agents involved in the teaching process - teachers, the executive board and the main office staff - access to updated and networked information. As a consequence, standards of students' follow up have been largely improved at an affordable cost.

	Grades The grades for each term are directly recorded on the system using a personal password for each teacher. Since registration of the class has been previously entered by the main office staff, teachers just need to choose the class, fullfil the template with the student's grades, print the record and sign it for posting.
	Biography The biography is very useful. It is possible, at any time, to print it with updated data about registrations, examinations, and grades. At the student's service bureau, students can have their biography in a few minutes.
	Classroom management and timetables The music school can deal with the difficult task of making timetables for all classrooms according to the weekly schedule of teachers. The system avoids overlapping of classroom's timetable and teacher's schedule. Each classroom and each teacher have their timetable correct, updated, all from the very same source.
